Stay safe - you are not alone. We are aware of r Stay safe - you are not alone.

We are aware of recent attacks in Edinburgh targeting people of colour, and the recent increase in racist violence more locally. At RISE Forth Valley, we want you to know:

💚 You are not alone.
🩵 We stand with you.
💚 We are here to support you.

If you have been a victim of racial abuse (this includes all forms of abuse, from an incident in public to online harassment), we are here to help.

Did you know that if you do not feel comfortable reporting a crime directly, you can speak to a Third Party Reporting Centre? They can support you to report incidents, advocate on your behalf, and provide specialist guidance and reassurance.

You can find your nearest Third Party Reporting Centre at this link below - in Forth Valley, this includes Falkirk Mosque, Falkirk Islamic Centre, Alloa Mosque, and Central Scotland Regional Equality Council (CSREC):

RISE Forth Valley stands in solidarity with racialised communities across Falkirk, Stirling, and Clackmannanshire. We will continue to campaign for the inclusion and equality of everyone in our community. #stophate #youarenotalone
Wow, the summer holidays have come early today! ☀️ Wow, the summer holidays have come early today! ☀️

Scotland is facing a heatwave this week. Stay safe, and keep your family cool in the hot weather:

🎒 Some schools have moved to "dress down" this week to help pupils cope in classrooms. Make sure to check if this applies to your children's schools.

🏠 Keep curtains closed during the hottest parts of the day, this can keep temperatures cool inside.

🍉 We know kids can struggle to drink enough water, so try offering hydration through food - such as melon slices, grapes, and making your own ice lollies/cubes with sticks using diluting juice.

From BBC:
"Babies who breastfeed should get all the water they need from breast milk and do not need any extra water, the NHS says - but they may want to feed more than normal.

If feeding your baby formula, you can give them a little cooled boiled water as well as their usual feeds."

Happy Extra-Bank Holiday Day 😎 Last weekend, our Happy Extra-Bank Holiday Day 😎

Last weekend, our Youth Club had their Cake Pops & Chat to celebrate the end of Carers Week. They got the chance to learn some kitchen tips & tricks, learn about how to identify and help fellow young carers, and how RISE Forth Valley supports our young carers 💚

Look how well the cakes turned out! We hope everyone enjoyed their beautiful desserts, which were taken home to share with family (and just in time for some pre-match snacks ⚽️)
